2+1+1=4!!
We have exciting news in the Sayre Household! We are expecting baby #2 on December 20th, 2012!
It has been a LONG and winding road for us as we started this whole process back when Charlie turned one in April of 2011. Riddled with miscarriages and a D & C and genetic testing, which came back normal, we are happy to announce that we have made it through the first trimester and hope with God's blessings to hold this one tight until the cold month of December!
Adam and I had always dreamed of having kids close together. We wanted them to be friends and to be only a year or two apart in school. Apparently God had other plans for us :) Charlie and baby #2 will be 3 years apart in grades, but about 2 and 3/4 in age. We will have to make it work. We fully realize that there will be jealousy on Charlie's part (he will know what is going on as opposed to be under 2), but we will work through it just like everything else.
I was going to do one of those "cute" announcements on pinterest. But, well, I was just feeling too crappy during the first 12 weeks to do that, so here was our half-assed attempt at something cute! Ha!
How am I feeling: I started getting morning sickness at the 5 week mark. Quite early compared to Charlie. It hit me hard (still no puking) and was the worst at 10 weeks. It started to gradually subside and at week 13 I can say that I just get nausea every "now and again." But not everyday, all day.

Another damn sticky note? |
Seriously mom! |
And now you are putting the sticky note on my face? What? |
How is this different from pregnancy with Charlie: With Charlie I started feeling ill at 7 weeks and went through until week 15 at least. This seems to be slightly earlier. I am thankful. I could NOT stand OJ with Charlie, this pregnancy I have LOVED it. There hasn't been anything that I cannot eat or makes me "sick" to eat, but I hate cooking or looking through magazines at food. But, actually putting the food in my mouth has not been a problem. Meals around here have been minimal if not dismal since I have been pregnant as I just don't "feel" like it. Smells have also gotten to me this pregnancy and they didn't with Charlie. This should pass too!
How have doctor's appt's gone?: Great! No problems. Ultrasounds look normal thus far, heartbeat is where it should be. I just keep holding on tight to this baby.
My prediction on gender: Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. and Boy. We are not going to find out this time around. But, I can tell you already, it's a boy! I just have that feeling that I am only going to breed boys. Like my mom, until child 5 and 6 which I am NOT having. My brother Bob has also had quite good accuracy of predicting gender of all the nieces/nephews. He is 100%. Not bad. So, he says boy, I say boy, won't we be SHOCKED if it is a girl.
What does Charlie think?: He goes and kisses my belly often when I tell him to "kiss the baby." It is cute. I have a feeling when the baby comes out and is "for real" Charlie will not be kissing this baby but rather wanting to drop he/she on its head.
We are SO excited that we will have a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE on our hands (fully realizing that this baby will be screwed on gifts for the rest of his/her life! HAHAHA-EVIL LAUGH).
