Vegas-Part Three

Sorry for the delay on writing the conclusion to the Vegas story. My laptop computer has been on the fritz (time for a new one..) and I HATE typing on my IPAD, thus, no journaling was done.

Day three of Vegas started out with sleeping in, breakfast up in Bruce's sweet, and continued from there. We headed out to the Gold Coast with Mom and Dad for some Bingo and Craps. Let's just say that we got "crapped" on in all areas. However, we were ever so slightly lucky at the slot machines. Adam and I walked back to our hotel (about a mile walk) and met up with Bob and Gene for a quick bite before the Packer Playoff game.

Of course, we watched the majority of the game in Bruce's suite, which was pretty sweet (the room, not the game). Then began the final cocktail hour of the weekend before dinner. Again, it was a lovely time despite the disappointing loss to the NY Giants (although they did end up winning the Super Bowl). We then headed over to the Range Restaurant which was located above Harrah's Casino (the casino I got kicked out of the night before ;). On our way over, in a nice coach with the whole family, Dean Martin serenaded us with his voice and his humor. I enjoyed a great Pork Chop and had a chance to "chew" the fat with Uncle Don. He tried to convince me to become a Republican, I tried to convince him to become a Democrat. We both failed miserably. After that some lovely "ladies" with big feathers and big boobies escorted us to our show at the Imperial Palace Casino/Hotel. We saw an AMAZING show called "Human Nature." These 4 WHITE men from AUSTRALIA sang Motown hits. They were outstanding. Full of energy and excitement and really got you dancing. Loved it!

Following this, we got back on the bus and put the CD that we bought in (great idea) and the dance party continued. I think for many of us, this was one of the most memorable parts of the evening. If I remember correctly, I think we even got Uncle Don up (and I thought Republicans couldn't dance....). Having this spontaneous fun just made the trip that much more special. It really reminds you how much you love and care about your family and how you wish you could see them more than once every few years.

We went to the the infamous Las Vegas sign to take some pictures (I had never seen this before) and continued a trip down the strip in our bus looking at all the cool lights and dancing. It was quite spectacular.

Before I add pictures and videos, here are some famous quotes of the weekend, if anyone else has some please send them to me and I would gladly add them:

Cousin Tony: (as we arrive at the infamous Las Vegas sign across from the airport) "Geez, Bruce, you bought us all our own private Jets, man, we knew you were generous, but this is almost too much.."
Cousin Tony: (as we are leaving the infamous Las Vegas sign to a bunch of 12-13 year olds) "Girls, you better hurry up, they shut that sign off at 10pm! You got 2 minutes!" And the girls RUN to the sign!!!! So gullible!
Viva Las Vegas! Thank you Bruce and Peggy for an Outstanding and Incredible Trip. Happy Birthday Auntie June. I hope your 85th was everything you dreamed of and more :) We wish you 85 more!!
