32 weeks pregnant
With my last child! As Charlie says "this is your last baby, you are getting tired of babies." Yes son, quite accurate, or more so quite tired of pregnancy.
Baby has dropped to the forbidden zone. Good in that I can eat more. Sucky in that the Braxton Hicks contractions are coming stronger and more frequent all the time. I am not dialated, but I am 50 percent effaced already which is quite normal for a 3rd pregnancy. My biggest problems come with being upright...walking standing etc. the contractions increase so much during this time that l am forced to sit down.
I need to keep this baby cooking for another 4-5 weeks. Preterm difficulties scare me and my chance at a healthy child. My friend Ann said the ratio is for every one day in utero is equivalent to 2 days in the NICU. I want to keep my kid in the best incubator possible.
Where am I sad? For my other kids...trying to be a good mommy for them when all I want and can do is lay on the couch. Next week we have a water park trip for one night planned to take charlie. He has been asking for a long time. I know I cannot go on any rides, however, at this point, I am not sure I can go at all. I just cannot stand that long. Therefore Carrie may be stuck back with me at home. How did this all change from pregnancy 1 to pregnancy 3? With Charlie I taught until 3 days before, I went on miles and miles of walks and felt good as gold up til the odd delivery and recovery. With Carrie I had some bacterial issues going on, but still felt able to walk and move and not contract. And now here I sit...literally.
Also finding enough energy to run Carrie in the morning is almost impossible. Thus, she is not really taking naps. Thus, I am locking her in her room so I can sit down for a few moments and let my uterus relax. She constantly knocks on the door trying to get out. Sorry 2 year old...naps are not done yet.
Alas, everything should be fine in 4-5 weeks. Thank god I have a lovely husband who comes home at 4:30 and relieves me (or runs the kids). Again, I can do everything sitting or laying down or short little walks to and fro, but good Lord anything beyond that And I am down for the count.
Keep prayers for a cooking baby...if I had to make a prediction though, this may be a March kid,not end of April.
