So what is new?

It seems as though I have not posted in awhile. This is true. Life has become rather hectic since Adam moved to Madison and every quiet moment if often spent preparing food, sleeping or cleaning up. The good news is, we are all still alive and thriving. I am becoming more and more use to the idea of Adam being away. In fact, the norm has become me doing everything by myself. When he is home it feels like a vacation cause I have only half the work to do.

Here is a glimpse of a schedule, so I can remember when I am bored someday...
5:50am-get up, shower, nurse Carrie, put her back to sleep.
7:00-8:30-work at school
8:30-back home to nurse Carrie, play with Charlie
9:15-30-some activity for Charlie, Carrie often naps in car or on my chest
11:00-eat lunch
11:30-nurse Carrie
12:00-play with Charlie while trying to put Carrie down for nap..he is getting quite good at playimg by himself
1:00-Charlie naps, or by naps I mean plays up in his room for 2 hours.
1;15-I RUN downstairs and take a quick 20 min nap myself
1:45-figure out dinner or some cleaning
2:30-nurse Carrrie
3:00-Charlie up
3:30-teach piano lessons
5:00-eat dinner and nurse Carrie
5:30-playtime
7:00pm- nurse Carrie and put to bed
7:30pm-Charlie does night time routine
7:45-crash on couch and talk to hubby
9:15-dreamfeed for Carrie
9:30-pump and to bed
1 or 2 am feed Carrie again
and repeat!

I am reading this great book by Shane Claiborne called "The Irresistible Revolution." The author is a Christian, but he is the type of Christian that Jesus was, not the type of Christian that we perceive ourselves to be. When he tries to live like Jesus, he really does. He is ALL about ending poverty in this nation, about feeding people, making wealth more "communal" (oh man would the Republicans HATE that!), and living like Jesus did. I certainly do not live like Jesus. I rarely communicate with the poor, the low in life's, the sick and diseased. I am not proud of myself for that. This book puts a new spin on Christianity and while most of our "churches" attest to following Jesus, it is certainly hard for them to "follow" Jesus on a 3-4 million dollar/year budget. Charlie-4 years old

My first born is officially four! I can hardly believe it! What an amazing journey it has been and I thought I would share a few things about him. Height: 40.5" (54 percentile) Weight: 33 lbs (20th percentile) BMI: below the 7th percentile. So he is tall-ish and skinny...a good way to be!! Eating: He eats a fairly healthy diet. He obviously strongly desires desserts at all time. He will get through dinner, just so a dessert can occur! Ha. I think he has my sweet tooth. Right now he is in love with cashews, raisins, granola bars, and broccoli. And desserts! He often makes dinner a seemingly long battle, in which he is the only one left at the table. I am sure we will work through this behavior as well. Sleeping: No more naps, but takes 1 1/2 hours of quiet time in the basement playing by himself. He then sleeps from about 8pm until 8am. Just recently, he has been going all night without a wet diaper. So, we are officially night trained as well. It is kinda cute how he...
