Easter 2012 Fun!

Image
Easter this year was spent at the Sayre's house. While we use to consider the "Wanta" holidays as "chaotic," I believe that the tide has now turned. All the "kids" at the Wanta's are teens for the most part and all the "kids" at the Sayre's are under the age of 5. So, as you can imagine, holidays are enough to send you batty. Here are some pictures from Easter Egg Hunting, dying eggs, and a tantrum to boot: Nicely dressed! Working very hard! I guess this counts as a good picture. I told you mom, don't put those damn ears on me! I warned you! This is what would happen! Life is so hard, especially when I am crying and you are just taking pictures!

What a weekend!

The last week or so have been very, very busy. On Thursday last week, the choir that I co-teach went on a field trip to Lakeland College where we were judged. We got great ratings of "1's" for all three songs and judges. Yeah. My mother came in to watch Charlie (thanks Mom) on both Thursday and Friday as I made a quick little "jaunt" to San Francisco to be with my friend Ann who is going to be a bone marrow donor to her brother. I wasn't there during the actual process, but was there to keep her company and make sure that she gave herself the shots that she needed. While out there we walked A LOT. Especially through Golden Gate Park as well as a cute little hike on a cliff over looking the ocean. We saw a whale, sea lions, and naked sunbathers (the best part!). We ate some great food and treated ourselves to manicures and pedicures. Adam had "daddy" time with Charlie. He was going to use this time to "man" Charlie up (he is a bit of...

Charlie-2 years old (24 months)

Image
We now have a 2 year old on our hands! How adventurous. It is as if on the day after he turned "2" he figured out that he should be terrible! Funny little boy. Little does he know that his parents have more tricks up their sleeves to combat this behavior, than he has poor behavior. Stats: 26 lbs 3oz-naked (25%-ile) 35" (60%-ile) Sleeping: All I can say is "THANK GOD" that I sleep trained my baby at 4 1/2 months old! I can't begin to say how worth it is to get a full nights sleep on a regular basis. It changes everything. My demeanor, Charlie's demeanor, Daddy's demeanor. And...this awesome trend of sleeping has continued all the way through his 2nd year. And the funny thing is, the "sleep training" only took 1 night of "letting him cry" for about 10 minutes. That's it! Then...Bliss! Besides about 11 hours at night, he also sleeps between 2-3 hours for one nap! I know the next major "sleep hurdle" is coming o...

If you can't tell, my son LOVES the limelight! Look at this huge smile as everyone was singing to him on his 2nd birthday. He absolutely loved it! There will be a video to show below, but here are a few other pictures to share! Is someone singing harmony? Candy high!
