Carolyn-2 months

Carrie is now up to 9 lbs 13oz and 22" long. She is 50th percentile for height and 15th for weight. She has, just like her brother, exhibited a dairy intolerance. Her poops for the last few weeks have been consistently green and mucousy. She even had blood one day, but we are not sure if that was from an anal fissure or the dairy. Needless to say, since it is my choice to breastfeed, I am giving up all dairy again. It is way less traumatic this time around and truthfully, other than sweets, it does not bother me at all. I drink coconut milk, use that as my creamer in coffee, have found dairy free chocolate chips, and have made dairy free cookies for myself. All set!! I am starting to see the poops return to their normal color of yellow. She goes to bed now around 9 pm and sleeps until 9am with a feeding around 1-2ish and 4-5ish. Not too bad..but someday hoping to take out that 1-2am feeding. She drinks a 6oz bottle of expresses breastmilk before she goes down at 9. Her demea...

New job!

About one week ago, we found out that Adam was offered the job of Director of Planning and Development for the City of Verona. It is really an excellent position and we are very happy. Over the course of one weekend, we painted 5 rooms, de cluttered our house and had it ready to go up on the market. The pictures taken by the realtor were gorgeous! So pretty!!! Once the house sells, I will ask the realtor for the pictures so I can have them so that Charlie will remember this house. We have grown attached to this house, we made it our home. This is the house where we had 2 kids, the house we bought one month before we married, the house where a lot of great memories happened. I hope someone will love it as much as us!

Potty Training!

We had attempted potty training a few months ago, but Charlie did not want much to do with it. A few days ago, Adam said we should try again. And it went great! Charlie had 1-2 accidents for the first 2 days and then nothing after that. And today, he even went poop for the first time in the potty. This was very exciting. He got a present. He even tells us when he has to go. Awesome!! We areso proud of you Mr.C!!!

Carolyn-1month

Carolyn is a cute little peanut at one month old. Her stats are currently: 8lbs 1oz and 20.5inches long. She made it through her first Christmas successfully and received lots of attention from her relatives. She loves being held and cuddled and at least during the day, this seems to be the only way she falls asleep. She stikk nurses every 2.5 to 3 hours during the day and gives anywhere from 3-4 hours for one chunk of sleep a night. She does not spit up all that much, especially compared to Charlie and she is a wonderful nurser!! Overall, her demeanor is wonderful, calm, cute and sweet! We love you so much baby Carolyn!

Quotable Quotes

Charlie: "I'm gonna drop a deuce!"--who do you think he learned that from? The other night, Adam and I had just gone to sleep when we hear from Charlie's room this: "Take a break Sock Monkey, I don't like Sock Monkey, Take a break!" He was having a fight with his Sock Monkey! Too funny!! Charlie has begun singing a lot of songs lately, but we especially like the:"If you like it then you better put a ring on it!"

Labor of Love

It all began on December 6th, at 12:30pm. Adam and I had just gone to bed around 10pm and I awoke with one little cramp 2 hours later. I got up to go to the bathroom when I felt my water break. My water did not break with Charlie, so I wasn't sure what this experience would feel like. I then told Adam what happened and I think he exclaimed "It's go time." We called the hospital and they asked about contractions. I wasn't really having any, so they said to take our time and come in at our leisure. We called Barb and she came to our house to sleep so we wouldn't have to wake up Charlie. We got to the hospital around 1:15 or 2 and of course they do the millions of checks on me. The contractions were still not hard or regular, so they had me walk and walk and walk and walk some more. Around 4am they started appearing regularily. If they hadn't, the on-call OBGYN (not my normal dr.) wanted to start the Pitocin at 4am. Ha! No chance in hell I was letting tha...
