Charlie in the Aristocats and Carrie in The Three Nanny Goats Bluff. We are lucky to have such great youth theater available in Verona.   

This little man isn't so little anymore! This sweetie is 4!  

Charlie is officially 9. He is about 55" tall and weights about 55 lbs. He is involved with Swim Team (OSCS during the school year and Seminole in Summer). He likes doing theater class and shows at VACT. He is still passionate about city building and Legos. Charlie is a very polite and kind kid. Most people would want him as their child, but I'm the lucky one.  He does get worried a lot, but this year has found ways to talk about and admit his worries. This is a huge step in the correct direction. We love you Charlie!

I feel like I should write this post with a bit of sarcasm. But sarcasm is super hard to get on a blog post, right?! It was a trip, that is for sure. We had a great time getting lost 500 times in the City Museum. I humorously said the most experienced parents in that museum were the ones sitting down below with a beer not worrying about where the heck their kids were. It was a bit anxiety inducing. That being said, the kids LOVED it. Obviously. The downside of our trip, was poor Colin came down with a 103.5 fever for a few days. Luckily, being the great parents we are, we were able to drug him enough in the morning to make him move-able so that we could do stuff in the morning and then need to lay in the hotel room from like 2pm on... There was a pool though, and happy hour....so...we survived.  We also visited the zoo (it was alright...and packed), the Arch (that was super cool), an Indian Burial Mound (Adam and I really liked) and a few local microbreweries. The olde...

One of the best memories (and there were lots) was of going to UW Men's Basketball games with my dad in middle school. This year, we decided to purchase them ourselves. It was a great decision. We took Charlie to a few, sold a few we couldn't attend, and used the majority as date nights. Rejuvenating a marriage over basketball was a great choice. They had a decent season this year. 

New Year's Eve is always fun in my family. Thanks to an energetic and funny sister-in-law: Laurie Wanta. This year we had to convince the Olympic Selection that our event "Musical Canine Freestyle" was worthy to be in the Olympics. I was the trainer and the others were the dogs! Other funny events were: toe wrestling, shin kicking, solo synchronized swimming..etc. It was very funny as always...especially adding the # (hashtags) to what we just witnessed!

Christmas got a little hijacked this year, by the stomach flu. I thought it was food poisoning, until I went to visit my mom for Christmas Eve and her facility, the Aster, was a quarantine...for the stomach flu. And I had been there 36 hour before...sigh. Alas, with a lot of activated charcoal, the rest of the family was spared with just minor bouts of it! Yeah!!!! Here are some pictures of the quiet, but enjoyable Christmas :)
