We lost a GREAT Mother and Grandmother!

Image
On December 11, 2019, Elaine Wanta went to heaven. What an amazing woman she was in every aspect of her life. Raising 6 children, teaching, being super supportive of all of us, and loving us to her last moment. I am very lucky that I got to hold her hand for her last breath. Her Alzheimer's stole the last years of her life from us, but our memories of her are strong. I continue to pull from her WISDOM almost daily. As a mother myself, I see how she led us and I will try daily to do the same with my children.  We love you mom and you will forever be in our hearts and memories!

Halloween 2019

Uncle Bob and Uncle Gene were in town to visit us during Halloween this year. Notice the snow on our pumpkins. Stupid snow. 5". Dumb.

UP Trip August 2019

Image
We had another fabulous trip with great weather up in the UP. Went out on the boat (instead of just talking about it), went to Chequamegon Falls which was super great, and even got some crazy sugar shaved ice.  Payback--for Papa buying Charlie all that caution tape. We taped off the whole driveway :)

We Lost a Great Teacher

Image
Sadly this year we lost a great teacher at Glacier Edge. Mrs. Lindsey Snow passed away after a hard battle with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She was such an amazing teacher and so very caring and loving. We miss her so much. I am sad Carrie will never know the other half of the Snerb team.

First Day of School! Charlie has Ms.Moldenhauer and Mr.O'Brien for 4th grade. Carrie has Mrs.Herb/Genin (Snow) for 1st grade and Colin as Ms.Stacy and Ms.Lynn at St.James 4K.  I am entering my 2nd year in VASD at 51% between Sugar Creek Elementary School and Glacier Edge Elementary School.

Seminole Swim Team 2019

What a fun summer of Swim Team at Seminole Pool. We love our times lounging around the pool and the excitement of meets and all-city. We sure have found our "summer home" at this wonderful pool with wonderful people.  Charlie's coach-Jacob Carrie's coaches-Noah and Aiden.

Our Trip out West

This summer we ventured to the Great Pacific Northwest. We flew into Seattle and spent a wonderful few days and nights with Bruce and Peggy. We had a blast using the boat on the amazing Lake Sammamish. You can see in the pictures that even Adam got up on the wake board. We did some tubing, in which Adam got a bit cocky and knocked all the 2 older kids and himself off the tube! We then drove down to Oceanside and spent a few days with Bob and Gene on the ocean. The kids LOVED playing in the sand and of course the hot tub. Charlie got to go crabbing with the guys one morning and then ate a TON of them :)  We had such an amazing time and we are so thankful to our lovely hosts...who even let us experience a 4.7 earthquake in Seattle!!
